Athletic Department Code of Conduct and Policies

  1. All athletes must abide by all school policies as designated by the Headmaster and Athletic Director. All coaches and athletes must adhere to these policies for the full duration of their season, including all conditioning sessions, athletic contests, and postseason tournaments.

  2. Appropriate care must be taken of all equipment, school facilities, and property. Athletes will be held responsible for any damage or loss through their negligence, at replacement cost.

  3. Before any athletes are permitted to engage in any practice they must have on file the following with the Director of Athletics:
    1. School Emergency Medical Release Form
    2. School Parent Consent Form
    3. School Parent's Insurance Information Sheet
    4. School Completed Physical Examination Form


  4. All athletes shall report any injury or illness to their respective coaches immediately upon occurrence.

  5. The athlete will be expected to attend all required practices, meetings, and contests. No season is over until all contests, state sponsored events, meets, or competitions by special invitation have been completed. Refusal to participate through the end of the season shall result in the loss of any awards and recognition.

  6. Athletes who are under any type of medication shall have on file with the Athletic Director, School Nurse, and Coach a note from the parent or guardian and/or their doctor.

  7. Athletes wanting to quit a sport during the season must clear permission with the Headmaster and Director of Athletics. They must also clear all responsibilities and obligations with the coach of that sport. The athlete may not start participation in another sport that season without the Headmaster's permission

  8. Athletes who engage in any criminal activity or have broken any school policy may be denied participation in extracurricular programs.
